The challenge was awesome, though (probably the best part of the game), but you cannot deny that the levels and enemies were rushed.BN4 was extremely boring and just fell under the generic tournament storyline you see in everything else. BN2 and 3 were big steps up from the first, which makes BN4’s lackluster quality even more glaring.

Battle Network 4 is just like all the other games from that series. I wonder what makes you think that part 4 is bad. I used to hate Battle Network but then I realized how to actually play the games and the whole series (and Starforce) got so much better.

It didn’t have more games than X, but it had five different anime seasons (or series), electronic PETs, an arcade machine built around the PETs’ navi-data system, and toys all around. I grew up with and love the classic Rockman series, and nothing is a disgrace to it. If anything, all of these different series are trying to get other people into Rockman by reaching out to different genres.
[..YouTube..] The Battle network series was a disgrace to the original megaman. Megaman X 1-8 were okay, 7 was iffy, but battle network just blows ass. Nobody wants to see a stupid little kid worry about problems he has with the internet, and his social life. They want to see some random guy in a blue suit blasting the shit out of robots using various weapons and abilities. Battle network sucked because of the extremely tedious storyline, fucking stupid battle screen, and random encounters every five seconds.
